Film: Vision on tv guide to street reporting & Citizen Journalism

Based in London, VisionOntv is a video training project and independent online TV station with the largest resource of citizen-video in the world. Their acclaimed media workshop teaches students not only how to create high-quality news reports but how to distribute them effectively and get their work noticed in the era of digital communications. This is a film of the workshop they did on Street Reporting at the Bristol Radical Film Festival.

What is visionOntv?

VisionOntv aims for the widest possible distribution of video for social change.

visionOntv enables you to create and collate video: we create shows to put news in context, and collate the best social change video from around the world. We also curate it so that it can be found and enjoyed easily by anyone who wants to. There are currently 5 main channels of rapidly updating films, which are editorially controlled to ensure a good mix of quality content. The visionOntv site is a “golden ladle on the data soup”.
